French, Haitian Creole, or both

Haitian Creole is a different language from French. If your families read Kreyòl, a French-only translation will not reach them the same way. Choose the language or languages your families use; one quote can cover both. This page covers Haitian Creole translation for schools and French translation for schools, for small schools that do not have a district translation office to prepare family documents for them. See English to French translation and English to Haitian Creole translation.

How the quote works for schools

Use the quote form and attach the English document (PDF, Word, or image, up to 20 MB as stated on the form). After length and complexity are reviewed, you receive a quote with the full price and delivery date. No work starts until you approve it. Turnaround is not fixed and depends on the document.

Documents that need a specialist

IEPs, medical documents, legal documents, and discipline documents need a specialist translator and are referred out. FGS Lingo does not provide certified, sworn, legal, medical, or immigration translation, and translations are for general family communication.

Questions schools ask

Which documents can a school send?

Newsletters, enrollment forms, parent packets, calendars, flyers, and similar family communications.

Can one quote cover French and Haitian Creole?

Yes. Or either language on its own.

Do you translate IEPs?

No. IEPs need a specialist and are referred to another translator.

How soon will we receive files?

There is no fixed turnaround. Your quote includes a delivery date, confirmed before work starts.

Can you translate our school newsletter into Haitian Creole or French?

Yes. School newsletters are translated by hand into Haitian Creole (Kreyòl), French, or both, with names, dates, and numbers checked and your layout kept, so the files are ready to print. Send the English newsletter through the quote form to get the full price and delivery date.

What school documents should we translate first?

Start with the documents parents must act on first — enrollment forms, school newsletters, and parent or welcome packets. Send the English document through the quote form and choose French, Haitian Creole, or both; your quote states the full price and delivery date before any work starts.
