French or Haitian Creole — or both

Some families read French; many Haitian families read Haitian Creole (Kreyòl), which is a different language from French. You can request French on its own, Haitian Creole on its own, or both in one quote. If you are unsure which your families need, note it on the quote form. See English to Haitian Creole translation.

How the quote works

Submit your English document using the quote form. After the length and complexity of the text are reviewed, you receive a quote with the full price and the delivery date. No work starts until you approve the quote. Turnaround is not fixed.

Documents that need a specialist

IEPs, medical documents, legal documents, discipline documents, leases, and contracts are referred to a specialist translator. FGS Lingo does not provide certified, sworn, legal, medical, or immigration translation.

Questions before you request a translation

Can I request French only?

Yes. French, Haitian Creole, or both — your quote covers what you ask for.

Is French the same as Haitian Creole?

No. They are different languages. See the Haitian Creole page if your families read Kreyòl.

How is the price set?

By length (pages or words) and complexity. Full price and delivery date are in the quote before work starts.

Do you provide certified French translation for official use?

No. Certified, sworn, legal, medical, and immigration translation is not provided and is referred out.
